I have searched countless times, including the forum search function, for how to install an aftermarket subwoofer in a w203 wagon with Bose. I have not bought the sub/amp yet, and would just like to get some feedback on whether this can be done with ease or not. I installed a similar setup on a w124, but I feel as if this may be another animal. First off, where do I get my input from? Should I tap into the subwoofer amp wiring (as I did in the w124) or is there an easier way?

Hey everyone, i searched the forums but couldn't find much about this, so i thought i'd post up. I have a 12 inch sub and amp that I want to put in my 2002 C240 using the factory headunit. I am going to check with a few local shops to see how much they would charge to install it. Would I need any adapters or any additional hardware to get this thing hooked up? One shop that I spoke with today said that Mercedes cars are wired up with fiber optics and it was going to cost over $350 just to install it. I think I read somewhere that only the higher end audio packages (bose?) or newer w203s use fiber optic wires. What's the scoop?

The only problem was that my license plate screws started to come out from teh bass hitting soo hard.

I thought that was a good thing (kinda telling me that my sub is doing its job) but then i had to replace the screw. I got this package as well that ran all the wires to the speakers but unfortunately i stopped there, for now!
