The Government of India has spent a large amount of resources in scanning and preserving valuable books through this project. The principal collections are housed and managed at the IISc, Bangalore. You can either download books in PDF format directly from site (PDF server) or view/read page by page at (image server). Both sites have different search engine with varied features (compact, comprehensive) although generated from the same metadata. Files can also be downloaded as for image server.
