The carafe coupling on my ESAM5500 is repeatedly becoming clogged with coffee residue, especially after descaling. This causes the frother to fail to draw milk -- only steam comes out. The last time this happened, it apparently caused the steam boiler element to burn out completely. I don't want to replace the steam boiler unless I can fix the underlying problem with coffee residue getting into the carafe coupling and clogging it. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it?
